Who we are
Interval Timer by STRNTH is operated by Next Big Leap Ltd, registered in England and Wales, acting as the data controller. Contact us at info [at] strnthapp [dot] com.
The short version
Interval Timer works on your device. Your timers and settings are stored on your phone and are not sent to us. We do not have accounts and we do not ask you to sign in. The app is free and shows ads, which is the main way data leaves your device. You can remove ads with a one-time purchase.
Data stored on your device
- Timers: the routines you build, their steps, durations, labels, colours and cue settings
- Preferences: your app settings, such as sound, voice and haptics
This information stays on your device. It is not uploaded to us. If you delete the app it is removed. You can back up or share a timer as a file using your own device sharing, which sends it only where you choose.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdMob. To do this, Google may collect a device advertising identifier and information about how you interact with ads, and use it to select and measure ads. In the UK and EEA we ask for your consent before requesting personalised ads, using Google's consent form. On iOS we also show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and we only allow tracking if you agree. If you decline, you still see ads, but non-personalised ones. You can read how Google uses this data in the Google privacy and terms.
Purchases
The remove ads purchase is handled by RevenueCat together with Apple or Google. They confirm your purchase status so the app can hide ads and restore the purchase on a new device. We never see your payment details.
Diagnostics and usage
If enabled, we use a crash reporting service and an anonymous product analytics service to see how the app performs and fix problems. These do not identify you and are not linked to an account, because the app has none.
Who we share data with
- Google, for AdMob ads and consent
- RevenueCat, and Apple or Google, for the remove ads purchase
- A crash reporting and a product analytics provider, for diagnostics, where enabled
International transfers
Some of these providers, such as Google, process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on an approved transfer mechanism, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
Your timers and settings stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Data held by our ad, purchase and diagnostics providers is kept under their own retention rules.
Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR you can access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and withdraw consent where it applies. Most of your data lives on your device and is already in your control. You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings, and change ad consent in the app. For anything else, write to us at info [at] strnthapp [dot] com. You can also complain to the ICO.
Children
Interval Timer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their data, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
We will update this page and change the effective date if we make material changes.
